Please leave your details and our team will be in touch. * fields are required

The Albert is a beautiful, traditional, stone built building located in the heart of the busy market town of Hebden Bridge in West Yorkshire. The town has a population of approximately 5,000 people. However, around 54,000 people live within a 15 minute drive time of the pub with Halifax just 8 miles away and Rochdale only 14 miles away. Hebden Bridge is in an affluent area and it is a very popular tourist destination attracting lots of shoppers together with walkers who enjoy the miles of surrounding scenic countryside.

Having undergone a complete refurbishment in 2016, The Albert is already a thriving business that is ready for someone to walk straight into and succeed. Having the added advantage of being very close to the railway station and offering a great range of hand pulled beers, the pub is a haven for cask ale aficionados and a highlight of the renowned Cask Ale Trail.

Pub Layout

On entering The Albert there is attention to detail in every inch of the pub, from the original stone and exposed redbrick fireplace, to grandfather clock and crystal decanter hanging lights – everywhere you look there is something to talk about. The bar is located in the heart of the pub and welcomes you as you walk in, with a tiled apron, fascinating back bar and an overhead hanging rack filled with wine and gin glasses. To the left you will find an open seating area with an eclectic mix of furniture, an original cast iron open fire for the colder months and a fully working piano and acoustic guitar for the more musically confident. To the right there is more seating with some intriguing bric-a-brac, suitcases and candles. Continuing to the right you will find the snug with an original exposed red brick fireplace housing a cast iron log burner to snuggle up to for a quieter drink away from the bar. Although The Albert has undergone a huge renovation it still has many original features to keep the charm of the building, such as deep coving, sash windows and ceiling roses throughout. To mark the reopening of the pub after the flood in 2015, there is a wall mounted plaque standing over 4ft marking the impressive height of the flood level. The Albert is a special pub within Hebden Bridge and oozes charm, character and charisma.

Following the extensive refurbishment in late 2016 The Albert has broadened its footfall and has a fantastic food and drink offer. With a huge selection of cask ales, lagers and ciders there is also a wide range of unique spirits including 50 gins, 22 vodkas, 14 rums and 13 tequilas – there is something for everyone! A unique food offer has been introduced and is incredibly successful, steering away from traditional ‘pub grub’ offering a mixture of platters and meze style finger food. A fantastically kept pub with a traditional meets modern vibe, The Albert is just a joy to be in.

The private accommodation is located on the first floor of The Albert and is accessed via a private entrance through the pub and comprises: a lounge, kitchen, bathroom, office and three good sized bedrooms. The accommodation along with the trading area is in exceptionally good order and ready to walk right into.
