The Royal Oak celebrates the New Year with exciting refurbishment

The Royal Oak, a family run public house and restaurant in Brandon has been closed for refurbishment beginning 6th January 2020 and re-opened on January 20th. The pub will maintain its rustic country theme, through a joint investment of £100,000 between award winning pub company Admiral Taverns and experienced licensees Beverley Rawbone and her son Jon and daughter-in-law Luci.

Situated in the heart of the village of Brandon bordering Warwickshire with the West Midlands, the licensee team have worked together over the past 12 years to transform the pub into the thriving family hub that it is today. A business built on strong family values and excellent customer service, the Rawbone’s are excited to present the community with the pub’s new look which features a brand-new bar and lounge for customers to enjoy.

Licensee at the Royal Oak, Jonathan Rawbone said: “We have built the business on family values and great customer service. This is what sets us apart from the other pubs and what attracts people to The Royal Oak. We take pride in our customers and the service we offer to them and the refurbishment reflects our commitment to the community by keeping our guests happy and comfortable. We hope to see plenty of new and familiar faces following the reopening, sampling our warm and friendly hospitality.”

As part of an internal transformation, the lounge and coffee room will receive new lighting and seating to amplify the relaxed, olde worlde atmosphere. The lounge area will also be getting new flooring to compliment the rustic aesthetic of the pub.

Already a local favourite, The Royal Oak family host a brilliant roster of local events throughout the year including ‘The Royal Oak Gin & Cider Festival’ and ‘Oakfest Beer & Cider Festival’, with many more exciting events planned.

The pub celebrated its official re-opening on January 24th at 7:30pm. Locals were invited for a glass of complimentary fizz, nibbles and live music to celebrate.

Admiral Tavern’s Business Development Manager, Rachael Dixon said:

It’s been a pleasure to have worked with Jon and the entire Royal Oak family for the last few years. Their passion for the pub, its customers and how they bring their local community together is truly inspiring. We are thrilled to invest in this refurbishment and cannot wait to see what lies ahead for the pub in the new year.”
