The Queen Anne has reopened after a ‘royal refurbishment’

A community pub in Maidstone, has reopened this week after an impressive transformation. The Queen Anne on Queen Anne Road welcomed back both its loyal customers along with some new faces last night, under new licensee Leslie Collier and managers Craig and Leon Burns.

Leading community pub company, Admiral Taverns has invested in a complete internal and external refurbishment of the pub. The Queen Anne has been redesigned with a new lounge bar, pool table area and a revitalised garden.

The Queen Anne will be launching a new food offer with a light bites lunch menu and home cooked evening meals. The team have also introduced an exciting new cocktail menu, and will continue to run the pub’s infamous quiz nights, karaoke and live entertainment offer with drag acts, comedy acts and celebrity acts.

Opening night saw the pub showcase its new food offer with guest entertainment in the form of popular local act ‘Jen Shilling’ who performed over the course of the evening.

Commenting on the opening, Leslie Collier, new Licensee of the Queen Anne said: “The Queen Anne is a fantastic pub and we all felt it had great potential to be a real asset for the local community.

In Craig and Leon we have two dedicated managers who are passionate about the pub, having been regular customers in previous years. The team have a shared vision to transform The Queen Anne into a true community hub, which will welcome back both our old customers and hopefully plenty of new faces from the area. From great food to fantastic entertainment and a lovely beer garden – it’s important to us that the Queen Anne will have something for everyone.”
