Local community pub holds Easter egg-stravaganza

The Olde Queens Head, a friendly local pub in Halesowen is celebrating Easter with a fun-filled day of Easter activities perfect for families over the bank holiday, on Monday, 22nd April.

Licensee Emma Martin had a jam-packed day in-store, including face-painting, kids’ karaoke and Easter-themed crafts workshops. Additionally, there was an exciting Easter egg hunt taking place with a range of prizes up for grabs for the more competitive families.

The highlight of the day for the children was undoubtedly be the Ten-Ton Bus of Fun, a child’s idea of heaven colourful party bus with a ball pit, slides and soft play. Tickets are available for the bus for £3 per child. The bus was on-site throughout the day, giving parents the chance to relax in the pub gardens whilst the children play.

The activities kicked-off at 2pm, and entry to the event was free. Delicious food was served throughout the day, including their daily special offer of two mains for £10, freshly-prepared in the kitchen. On a day to day basis the pub serves a wide range of classic dishes such as Fish and Chips and Hunters Chicken, as well as tasty vegetarian options including Vegetable Sausage and Mash and Halloumi Salad. What’s more, kids can eat for free alongside a paying adult!

The pub has a wide range of beers such as Blue Moon and Worthington Creamflow, ciders including Thatcher’s Gold and unique cocktails including Apple Blossom and Bull Frog for the grown-ups. Hot drinks, including tea, coffee and hot chocolate are also served throughout the day, ensuring the pub has something for everyone.
