Denbigh Community Pub Reopens Following Transformational £200,000 Refurbishment

Popular community pub, the Plough Inn on Bridge Street in Denbigh officially reopened on Saturday 26th September following a combined investment of £200,000 from licensee, Emma Lavery and Admiral Taverns, the UK’s leading community pub company. 

This refurbishment will breathe a new lease of life into the Plough Inn to elevate and modernise the overall look and feel of the pub – whilst still retaining its original characterful features such as the traditional wooden flooring – ultimately enabling the licensee to further cement it as the go-to community hub for local residents. 

Internally, the pub has been refurbished to include brand new decoration throughout which will modernise and elevate the Plough Inn’s atmosphere. In addition to this, the pub’s TVs are fully equipped with Sky Sports and TNT Sports. Externally, the Plough Inn has been completely refreshed to include brand new windows and signage as well as a fresh coat of paint to greet visitors and extended decking in the beer garden, including new decoration.  

Passionate licensee Emma Lavery brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to the Plough Inn having worked in the pub for many years before taking over as the licensee earlier this year. Emma also has a deep personal connection to the pub as it was previously run by her grandparents for over 30 years, before she decided to carry on the family legacy by taking it on. Going forward she is committed to creating a family and dog friendly hub that brings people together and supports all aspects of community life.  

Emma Lavery, licensee at the Plough Inn, commented: “Watching the pub be transformed to its full potential is something I’ve always hoped for. To celebrate the reopening, The Plough Inn hosted a reopening party for all customers with live music and drinks offers on Saturday 26th September.  

Going forward, Emma will be hosting a busy schedule of regular entertainment for the community to enjoy including quiz nights, pool nights and darts nights with a brand new darts system installed. In addition, as part of her mission to giving back to the local community, she will also be supporting various fundraising initiatives for local good causes.   

Following the refurbishment, the pub will host an impressive range of drinks including an extensive portfolio of premium draught lagers and ciders. To ensure there is something for everyone, the pub will also offer a wide variety of premium spirits and soft drinks.   

The pub is owned by Admiral Taverns, the UK’s leading community pub company with c. 1,350 pubs across England, Scotland and Wales.
