The Grennel Mower is a large, traditional community pub situated in the village of Lowedges in the town of Sheffield. The pub is surrounded by residential housing and acts as a true hub for the local community. There is a bus stop outside the pub which has direct links to St James Retail Park along with other local amenities such as schools, supermarkets, leisure and sports facilities.

Pub Layout

The pub is split into three main trade areas, all served by a central bar. After undergoing refurbishment the pub will be revitalized, ensuring that it retains its charm while seamlessly incorporating modern design elements. This will carefully balance space to feel vibrant and inviting, making it a great community pub. It has various seating options with both loose and fixed creating distinct areas within the space. It will be stocked with a great product range catering for all.

Externally the pub benefits from a small car park to the rear and a patio seating area to the front of which will benefit from new seating



We believe in fostering a sense of community at The Grennel Mower. To achieve this, we’re looking for an enthusiastic operator who will embrace diversity and consistently deliver top-notch entertainment. From DJs to live bands and karaoke, our vibrant entertainment program ensures there’s something for everyone. Catering to all age groups with a focus on community, entertainment & sports, we aim to keep the rhythm of the week lively and incorporating pool and darts teams will be a welcome addition. Live sports is a must and with four TV screens it will allow customers to watch and engage throughout.  Expect an established product range, enticing promotions, and excellent value for our valued customers.

Private Accommodation

The private accommodation which is accessed through the pub is located on the first floor and consists of three bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and lounge.

Security deposit – £2,000

As part of our unique agreement, you’ll have the opportunity to manage this great pub as a self-employed manager. Admiral Taverns takes care of essential running costs, such as rates, utilities, and day-to-day expenses, while you earn a percentage of weekly sales. Your responsibility lies in managing employment costs for your staff and any council tax for the residential quarters. This setup empowers you to increase your income through sales growth, while we handle the operational details.

No rent applicable on this agreement.

Your proactive, hands-on approach will shine as you devise and execute a vibrant weekly activity plan that engages the local community on every level. Your previous experience in delivering live entertainment, combined with an understanding of the local marketplace, will be key to your success. A proven track record of running a similar style pub is essential
