The ideal applicant will be able to demonstrate a good understanding of the local marketplace as well as being community focused and have previous knowledge in running a similar pub. This pub is not suitable for first time operators.

The Castle is a semi-detached 1960’s pub in a prominent & bustling location on Dudley High Street surrounded by local shops and amenities. Dudley is a large market town in the West Midlands of England, six miles south of Wolverhampton and eight miles north of Birmingham. We have invested £240,000 in this great pub with full internal decoration and new signage.

Pub Layout

Conveniently located on the high street, the pub welcomes you through its main entrance into a spacious, open plan bar area. Directly ahead is the main bar servery and is surrounded by a mix of fixed and loose seating. Towards the rear of the pub is a pool table, which is set apart from the main trade space, creating a dedicated games area. The central bar doubles as a versatile space, ideal for hosting functions and events and for watching televised sport on one of several TV’s which are located throughout the pub. To the rear of the pub there is access to the toilets and out to the beer garden. This space features several wooden benches and has the scope to be developed further to be better utilised in the summer months.

The Castle is a wet led community focused pub which has potential to develop its existing trade by becoming a real ‘hub of the community.’ It has a great entertainment programme with live music being popular with the locals. Existing activities provide a sound base of sports teams and traditional bar games including; football, darts, quizzes and pool. By consistently focusing on community engagement, entertainment, and providing a warm and inviting space, the pub can indeed become a central hub for the local community.
