The Business Development Manager Nicky Bellingham is looking for an individual or couple who have proven experience of running and operating a community pub for this amazing opportunity . We need someone who has the the ambition and skills to take this established pub to the next level whilst providing a consistent service with great standards and the ability to run an efficient and well maintained business. It goes without saying the new operator will put the community at the heart of everything that goes on and will strive to continue to make the Westcroft the community hub in the local area. To succeed the new operator must have a passion and energy for promotion and hosting events to suit all occasions to meet the local community needs.
We’re proud to announce a significant investment of £273,000 into The Westcroft Inn. As part of the Proper Pubs family, this investment is all about the people. We’re enhancing the pub to create an even better space for locals, improving the look and feel, upgrading facilities, and setting the stage for more live sport, events, and community activities.
Pub Layout
The Westcroft Inn will undergo a full internal and external transformation creating a modern, welcoming space for all. On entering the pub, guests will be welcomed by a centrally positioned bar servery directly ahead, designed to serve the entire venue efficiently. Seating is arranged to both the left and right, creating comfortable and versatile drinking areas from the moment you walk in. Moving further through the pub, there will be additional seating along with a raised area that offers a slightly more private and relaxed space, all serviced by the same main bar. To the rear of the pub, customers have easy access to the toilets and the beer garden. Externally, the pub benefits from a large, well appointed beer garden with ample seating. This includes a covered area with an external TV, an astroturf section with high tables, and plenty of space for socialising. To the front of the pub, there is also an additional outdoor drinking area featuring traditional wooden benches.
Our investment focuses on enhancing what already makes The Westcroft special, great hospitality, a strong community feel, and a space people genuinely want to return to. With improvements to presentation, programming, and customer experience, we see The Westcroft becoming a thriving hub for locals, whether that’s for live sport, events, or simply a great drink from the varied drinks selection, featuring top quality products and weekly promotions.
The private accommodation consists of three bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and bathroom. The private quarters will be refurbished as part of the investment and will make a fantastic home for the new operator and family.

This opportunity is for you to run your pub as a self-employed manager. Admiral Taverns take care of all the running costs including rates, utilities, stock and day to day running costs whilst you take home 18.5% of the net weekly sales, all employment costs relating to your staff and any council tax and TV licence for the residential quarters.
All new operators have comprehensive free training as part of their agreement.
