Mark Knibbs is looking for an individual or couple who is sociable, engaging, and skilled in integrating with the local community. Emphasis on community events and a varied weekly program is essential to drive trade. The successful candidate will need experience in running a similar style pub with a proven track record and the ability to develop strong marketing and entertainment plans, supporting the local school and church.

The Church Inn has recently been added to the mid-market portfolio within Proper Pubs. The Church Inn, located in the charming village of Lowton, has recently been transformed with an investment of £260,000. Situated just 7 miles south of Wigan, 12 miles west of Warrington, and a short journey from the M6, this pub will serve as a central hub for a vibrant community of approximately 14,000 residents.

Pub Layout

Following a recent investment, The Church Inn features a refreshed, tasteful décor. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed to create a warm and inviting atmosphere, making it the perfect place to relax, socialise, and enjoy everything your local pub has to offer. The layout has been carefully planned to accommodate a wide range of social experiences. Whether you’re here for lively events or a quiet catch-up, you’ll find the ideal spot. Versatile spaces throughout the pub allow for a seamless transition between different activities, from live music nights and community quiz events to casual meetings and friendly get-togethers. Seating is varied and flexible, with cosy corners for intimate chats, larger tables for groups, and plenty of options to suit your mood. Televisions are positioned to show live sport without dominating the room, and a state-of-the-art darts board adds an extra layer of entertainment for those who enjoy a bit of friendly competition. The bar itself is well-stocked, offering something for every taste. Step outside and you’ll find two distinct garden areas, each with its own unique atmosphere. The first is a smaller, tranquil space tucked away just beyond the games area, ideal for a quiet drink. The second is a lively family-friendly garden, complete with wooden benches, a grassy area, and plenty of room for kids to play. It’s the perfect setting for sunny afternoons, outdoor entertainment, and weekend gatherings.

The Church Inn stands as the heart of the local community and is a welcoming, vibrant pub where everyone feels at home. Renowned as the go to social hub in the area, it offers an eclectic mix of entertainment that brings people together across all age groups and interests. From the soulful sounds of live acoustic singers to the friendly rivalry of quiz nights, there’s always something happening to keep regulars and newcomers engaged. The pub also hosts tailored events that appeal to both younger crowds and older customers, ensuring that no one is left out.

Beyond its entertainment, The Church Inn prides itself on a diverse and inclusive product offering. Whether you’re in the mood for a freshly poured lager or something more adventurous from the colourful and creative cocktail menu, there’s something to suit every palate. Regular weekly and monthly promotions add extra value, making each visit a little more rewarding. With its community first approach, warm atmosphere, and commitment to quality, The Church Inn isn’t just a pub, it’s a place where memories are made.
