Talbot, Welshpool

The Talbot is believed to have originally been built in the late 16th Century – early 17th Century, and raised in height later in the 18th Century. In long-use as a public house, this Grade II Listed property was formerly known as The Corner House. The two story property has timber framing exposed at the gable end and rear elevation.  The front elevation is rendered, beneath a pitched slate roof, with brick stack on left-hand gable. The characterful accommodation briefly comprises two public bars, either side of the entrance hall with timber bar serveries, beamed ceilings and exposed brickwork.  To the rear of the trading areas the pub benefits from a commercial kitchen, ground floor beer cellar and Ladies and Gents W.C.s. A Games Room, Lounge and Stores are situated to the rear of the pub.

Externally, to the rear the Talbot benefits from an extensive outside drinking area with numerous tables under cover as well as covered smoking areas.
