Trading style

The White Horse is located in Bridgemary a village in North Gosport located on the A32 to Fareham. It is a 2 bar community pub located in the heart of a large community estate located in front of Holbrook Primary and Bridgemary school. Apart from the dense surrounding housing there is a small parade of shops across the road offering local facilities. The pub currently hosts two pool teams and two ladies darts teams playing during the weekday evenings. Two football teams on a weekend, one of which is a pub team and the other a local. Food was available everyday but this has now been restricted to weekends only. The site also hosts many functions in the main bar which it is rented out for private events moving the local evening trade into the lounge bar area. The site has hosted private functions once or twice a month with regular repeat bookings. Admiral taverns are looking for a community focused individual with the vision to drive forward this business through wet and dry sales.

Trade accommodation

The pub was refurbished internally with new fixtures and fittings in the main bar towards the end of 2013. This also included opening up the back of the pub gaining direct access into the large rear customer garden and to establish a trade kitchen downstairs in order to introduce the current food availability. The kitchen has a vast amount of appliances introduced in the last few months to speed up service and delivery. The Pub benefits from two bars both with separate access to the front and the rear garden and with both ladies and gents toilets. Both bars have Sky sports available and the large beer garden is laid to both lawn and patio with a large covered smoking shelter in the corner. This traditional pub lay out lends itself to a mutli-service option plan that can incorporate food, functions, team sports and live entertainment. The current tenant is working with Coors to secure a 30% discount on the cost of Sky sports. The low Rateable Value of the site with an annual payable cost of £382pa also makes Sky a viable development tool for the business.
