We are very proud of our ethos and approach to training which is delivered in a relaxed environment with pub industry experts to suit all levels of ability and experience.  A series of core workshops which focus on the ‘must dos’ of modern pub retailing, our training is designed to build on existing knowledge and to take a step back from the business to be able to work on it as well as in it.

We want to help you grow your pub business.  Getting together with likeminded licensees can open your mind to different ideas and maximising the opportunities in your local area. For new licensees we support with best practice approaches to running a pub business delivered by specialist trainers to help set you up for success. The one-day, short courses are designed to show you how you can improve aspects of your business that will increase your bottom line profit.  The sessions are very informal, there are no tests or exams and are interactive and fun.  Training forms a mandatory part of the Business Support Agreement and a highly recommended aspect of other agreements.

Found the course very useful as it was my first after just opening our first pub. The tutor was great, made us feel welcome and made the course fun

Kelly, Rising Sun, Rochester – Marketing and Merchandising

A very good workshop. I have had the pub 6 years and even though I have a lot of experience I still learned a lot today. Look forward to more courses!

Ann, The Junction, Oldbury – ABCQ

Course was very informative and presented in a friendly and easy to understand way, we definitely took away some good ideas. Gives a great insight into how social media can benefit your business

Graeme and Norma, The Black Horse, Atherstone – Social

In addition to industry-wide mandatory courses we also organise a number of BII accredited workshops designed to give licensees practical tips on how to drive sales, develop their marketing and social media skills, improve customer satisfaction and develop their business to increase profits.

A Practical Approach

We understand that our licensees struggle to take time away from their business and so our workshops are held locally, are short in duration and run by experts to ensure they are easy to attend and add real tangible value.

Six hours of my time will pay dividends in my pub. Simple ideas that will make such a difference, and not difficult to implement!
