From transformational refurbishments to small but crucial improvements, through our active and ambitious programme we invest behind your business, supporting you to run a great community pub.

In an increasingly competitive market it is important that our pubs stand out from the competition.  From small scale projects to major refurbishments, our Business Development Managers and Project Surveyors continuously search for opportunities that will develop our pubs and unlock growth.

Our experienced operations, property and development teams have a strong track record in project management and delivery and work closely with our licenses to help them realise their vision for their pub.

The Brawns Den

The Brawns Den is a great community pub in Durham. New licensee Andrew Readman had worked in the industry for a number of years and was well known in the Durham area having previously managed the pub in the past. Andrew was keen to re-establish the pub as a hub for the local community and was determined to evolve and improve the customer experience.

To support the transformation we invested £100,000, revitalising the pub with a complete internal and external refurbishment. A fantastic back bar now showcases an innovative menu of wines, gins and whiskies, whilst the relaxed and informal lounge areas provide the perfect place to tuck into the newly introduced food offer, with a home cooked menu built around locally sourced produce.

The Mother Shipton

The Mother Shipton Inn is a traditional English Inn nestled away by the River Nidd close to the famous Mother Shipton Cave, where an old woman famously predicted the fate of rulers during her lifetime as well as the defeat of the Spanish Armada.

Licensees, Sam and Tony have managed local pubs for many years. Looking for a new challenge and keen to work for themselves, they were quick to spot the potential of the Mother Shipton Inn.  We have supported the couple to transform the site with a £200,000 investment. The pub has been revitalised with a warm and cosy atmosphere and a brand-new function room which is proving popular for local events and celebrations.

The Queen Anne

When new licensee Leslie Collier and managers Craig and Leon Burns took over the Queen Anne in Maidstone we were delighted to support them with a £100,000 investment to reinvigorate the pub, helping the team to create a warm welcome for the pub’s traditional regulars and a host of new local customers.

The investment saw a complete internal and external refurbishment of the pub including a new lounge bar, pool table area and a revitalised garden. The pub now has the capability to deliver a new food offer with a light bites lunch menu and home cooked evening meals. The team have also introduced an exciting new cocktail menu and will continue to run the pub’s infamous quiz nights, karaoke and live entertainment offer with drag acts, comedy acts and celebrity acts.

The Marina Fountain

Situated on the sea front of St Leonards-on-Sea, The Marina Fountain reopened in late 2017 following a £275,000 investment. Licensees Glen and Kate Hoile had a clear ambition for the pub and were determined to develop their concept of the ‘Beastie’ music bar at the pub for the local community, establishing it as ‘the’ go to place for drinks, food and live music in the area.

We have supported Glenn and Kate to transform the pubs interior, creating a music lovers haven with bespoke fixtures and fittings including iconic wall paper and music memorabilia on the wall. As well as a stunning interior the pub is also making the most of a fantastic beer garden, introducing bespoke beach huts where locals can while away the summer evenings, sipping on one of the pub’s signature cocktails or choosing a bite to eat from an impressive menu which features the Beastie burger, monster pizzas and extreme chicken wings.
