The Lord Nelson is a prominent pub situated in the Wirral town of Wallasey, just a short drive from the iconic city centre of Liverpool. The pub sits a quarter of a mile from the River Mersey which links Wallasey to Liverpool. It is nestled in a highly populated area with plenty of residential housing and local amenities nearby.
The pub trades from three areas, all served by a central bar. The lounge area is at the front of the pub which is balanced with fixed and loose seating, these areas have televisions and are popular with drinkers wanting to relax and socialise as well as keep their eye on sporting events being featured . The rear of the pub is in two sections, the first being an area popular with music and has a small music system. This leads onto an enclosed courtyard which houses benches and is a welcome addition in summer months. Adjacent to this is the pool table and darts board this is also serviced by a small bar that backs onto the main bar and could easily be enclosed for functions.
The Lord Nelson trades as a drinks orientated pub with a varied selection of lagers, ciders and spirits. The previous licensee has previously had a good social calendar of events. Music is popular at the weekends, as is weekly quiz nights and community activities. The darts team is a welcome addition with home matches and a strong following providing additional income on those quitter nights. The new licensee would need to develop a rhythm of the week with varied events to draw in the local community, the grow in market trades should also be addressed such as cask ale and a wider variety of spirits.
The private accommodation at the Lord Nelson is accessible through a separate entrance, it is spread over two floors with five bedrooms, two bathrooms, sitting room, kitchen and office although in reasonable order some modernisation would be beneficial.

I am looking for an enthusiastic and passionate individual or couple with high retail standards who would embrace community life and bring the Lord Nelson back to glory. You will need to think outside the box with a great weekly activity programme and a small but affective snack offering ensuring that the business is catering to all customers.

Annual Rent – This is our lowest rent figure associated with a Full Tie. If the tie is reduced the effective rent (via Tie Release Fees) will increase. Rent is billed and paid for weekly in advance depending on the payment terms agreed)
Security Deposit – This sum of money will be held on your account and will be returned to you on exiting of the pub based on your final account balance and the condition of the property
Working Capital – This is a recommend amount required which will be used in the day-to-day running of the business
Stock – This will be valued by an independent valuer on the day you take over the pub. This includes unbranded glassware, unopened bottles, wines, spirits, any unopened / opened kegs and cask ale providing the container is unopened
Fixtures & Fittings – This includes any item that is bolted to the floor or walls, and a fitting to be any item that is free standing or hung by a nail or hook. This will also include furniture
Training – This is required when taking on a Business Support Agreement. Included is an e-learning package for you and your staff and attendance to our ‘Set Up To Succeed’ workshop held at our Head Office in Chester. Please note, you will be required to attend this workshop before signing a long term tenancy agreement.
