The John Marston is a large detached community local pub situated in the suburbs of Blurton, in the middle of a densely populated housing estate, close to Britannia stadium home of Stoke FC.  Blurton is a district in the south of Stoke on Trent.

Pub Layout

The John Marston trades from two separate areas. The large horse shoe bar is well stocked with a great range across the board. There is a large raised area which currently houses a pool table which is popular with the locals.  The current tenant has made great use of the large open plan are by creating a more softening atmosphere with cosy area with sofas. The front lounge leads on to a large room which houses its own bar and could hold functions for 80 – 100 people.  The plot of land surrounding the John Marston allows for 20 cars and a grassed beer garden which hold 8 large benches. There is a huge potential to hold community fates or festivals on the land.

 

 

 

 

The John Marston is a community pub which benefits from its central location on a housing estate. The pub caters for it’s locals with a weekly entertainment programme and is home to both darts and dominoes teams. There is also potential to take on a pool team to further boost weekly trade.
