The Dart is a community pub conveniently located on the Longhill housing estate. It is close to Holderness Road which is one of the main roads into Hull. The pub is close to various amenities such as takeaways, convenience stores, a post office and pharmacy along with good bus routes to and from Hull. The demographics are made up of blue and white collar workers, young families and retirees.
The Dart has two main trading rooms both independently accessed from entrances at the front of the property. The main drinking bar is on the left hand side of the property. This room consists of a single bar servery, good sized seating area and large independent games area, this space leads out to an enclosed beer garden. The fixtures and fittings are in reasonable condition and there is a mixture of fixed and loose seating. The second trading area, the lounge, is on the right of the property, both serveries are linked by the bar. The lounge is split level with a small raised section to the side of the bar and there is also a small stage. The area has plenty of seating and standing room. Externally the pub benefits from a patio at the front, a carpark with about ten spaces and a grassed garden area (in addition to the beer garden off the games room.)
The Dart is very much a drinks led pub with the majority of its trade driven from local loyal custom throughout the week. The pub has mid-week darts teams along with weekend football and rugby teams. It also has regular themed nights and entertainment evenings throughout the year. There is a healthy mid-week trade that comes mainly from retired regulars or shift-workers. The weekend trade comes from a mixed clientele depending on entertainment on offer or what teams are playing. There is currently no food offer in place, so there is potential to introduce a simple snacks/paninis menu from a small back bar space.
The domestic accommodation is located on the first floor and consists of three double bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, bathroom and separate toilet. The accommodation is of good family size and is in reasonable condition.
