The Coachmakers Arms is a historic Victorian pub in Hanley, Stoke on Trent and is one of four “corridor pubs” left in the country. It is a double fronted mid terrace building nestled between a small number of food outlets. Its busy location, opposite the main bus station and just off the ring road is excellent for passing trade while the highly populated area embeds it in the local community.

Pub Layout

The Coachmakers has a traditional layout, divided into four small separate trading rooms one of which being a piano room. It has retained many traditional features including exposed red brick walls and a real fire which creates a warm and cosy atmosphere in the snug room. It has the original tiles on the floor and the corridors. The seating is relaxed and informal throughout. The gents toilets are outside in the quaint courtyard. There is no carpark however due to the location this isn’t desired and there is a pay and display nearby.

The Coachmakers has built an excellent reputation across Stoke on Trent as a “proper” pub. It is drink led with Cask Ales being its specialty it features heavily in CAMRA and has received numerous awards. The new licensee will need to continue this great offering and develop the range in line with current market trends. There is potential for limited entertainment, weekly quiz nights and community darts teams.

Private Accommodation

The private accommodation consists of three bedrooms, kitchen, bathroom and sitting room however some work is required.
