  • Andy Clifford, Property & Strategy Director

    Andy Clifford, Property & Strategy Director

    Andy is responsible for property matters, estate management and strategy. A qualified chartered accountant, Andy has been instrumental in driving the group's evolution to a community-focused tenanted pub business, leading the divestment of unsustainable businesses, with sale proceeds re-invested back into the existing estate and in acquisition opportunities. Andy has held senior management roles at a number of other businesses, including Enterprise Inns, where he also headed the property & strategy teams.

  • Kevin Georgel, Managing Director

    Kevin Georgel, Managing Director

    Kevin is responsible for the operations and commercial teams at Admiral Taverns, and as such is the driving force behind a raft of operational developments and initiatives, and the group's stated aim of becoming widely recognised as the UK's best operator of tenanted community pubs. Having started his working life in the armed forces, Kevin held senior management roles in a number of industry-related companies including brewer Molson Coors, prior to Admiral. He is a former operations director of leased pub company Punch Taverns. In addition to his role at Admiral, he is also non-executive chairman of regional brewer Dartmoor Brewery.

    Jonathan Paveley, Executive Chairman

    Jonathan, who heads the board and leadership team, joined Admiral in 2009, having previously held board roles at Punch Taverns, Matthew Clark and Greene King. Prior to that he was a merchant banker and also holds an MBA and PhD. He has led the re-shaping of the Admiral business since the group's refinancing in 2009, backed by Lloyds Banking Group. In addition to his role at Admiral Taverns, he is the chairman of regional brewer Hook Norton and is a trustee of the gambling charity the Responsible Gambling Trust.

    Glenn Pearson, Finance Director

    Glenn heads the finance and credit control teams at Admiral and as such played a pivotal role in the refinancing of the business in 2009. A qualified management accountant, Glenn held senior management roles at a number of leading retail and leisure businesses, including Scottish & Newcastle, prior to joining Admiral. He has worked closely with the operations teams on the company's rolling capital expenditure programme, which last year saw £8m invested in the pub estate.

    Suzanne Smith, Head of Licensee Recruitment & Training

    As head of licensee recruitment and training Suzanne plays a linchpin role at Admiral Taverns, leading the company's many recruitment and training initiatives. Formerly of the BII and CPL Training, Suzanne has helped galvanise an ethos based on building long-term relationships with potential licensees through a network of Admiral open days across the country, giving potential tenants the chance to discuss pub opportunities with the recruitment and operations teams. She has also led the development and delivery of training courses that licensees actually want to attend - short, sharp, local and focused programmes, with real benefits that add value to a licensee's business from the moment they return to the pub.
