The Woden is a detached corner plot building located in a residential area. The pub enjoys a prominent position just a five minute walk into the centre of Wednesbury where there are plenty of local shops, amenities and restaurants. The area benefits from a new leisure centre, which reopened in late 2015. Wednesbury is a market town located in the West Midlands and enjoys a population of approximately 38,000.

Trading style

The Woden is a wet led community pub offering a mixture of cask and keg ales. The pub is currently home to well established pool and darts teams. The site is open from 10am until close with an older generation of customers during the day, workers from 4pm and a younger clientele in the evening and at weekends. The site benefits from having an excellent CCTV system. Although there is no food offer there is potential to introduce one to enable the pub to cater to a larger customer base. The food offer should consist of a bar snack menu including meals and sandwiches etc. Admiral Taverns are looking for applicants who are familiar with the area, have an understanding of the clientele, have experience in running this type of pub and have the ability to put this pub back on the map with a good food offer, excellent beer and a fantastic entertainment offer.

Trade accommodation

The outlet is all open plan with the bar servery located to the right side on entering. There is a pool table and darts area located to the far right and a lounge area with seating for up to 20 people located to the left. The ladies and gents toilets are located to the rear of the pub. The lounge leads out onto a patio / smoking area where there are approximately four benches and is mainly used throughout the summer. There is a good sized catering kitchen located to the left side of the pub. Externally, there is a car park for up to eight cars located to the rear of the pub. The pub and its fixtures and fittings are in excellent order.

The domestic accommodation is of a good size with three family sized bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and bathroom. The condition of the accommodation is acceptable but would benefit from a re-decoration.
