The Travellers Rest is an attractive stone built pub located in the village of Greetland, on the outskirts of Halifax and is situated on one of the main arterial routes between Huddersfield and Rochdale. Halifax is a minster town in West Yorkshire and is situated approximately nine miles from the M62 motorway and has a population of approximately 95,000.

Trading style

The Travellers Rest is a traditional wet led community pub offering pub games including darts, dominoes and pool that prove popular in the area and the pub has teams in the local leagues. The pub has also benefitted from having karaoke and discos as well as quiz nights. Custom is derived from the local community and covers the cross spectrum of age and demographic profile. ‘The Travs’ has the potential to be the best community pub in the area with cask ale, TV sports and games teams a key focus. As there is no catering kitchen, a small back bar food offer should be available offering sandwiches and paninis. Admiral Taverns are looking for applicants who are familiar with the area and are passionate about running their own pub. Experience is not key as full training can be provided.

Trade accommodation

The outlet is open plan and benefits from having a central bar that you are faced with on entering. To the left of the bar is a games area with darts and pool table and then to the right is a lounge with comfortable seating for up to 30 people. The ladies and gents toilets are located to the right of the bar. The general décor of the pub and its fixtures and fittings are in good order however the new licensee may want to put their own stamp on the pub. Although there is no car parking, there is street parking outside the pub.

The private accommodation consists of three bedrooms located on the first floor of the property, including separate lounge, bathroom and kitchen. This area will need some TLC and upgrading.
