The Royal Hotel is located in Tottington, on the main Bury Road, just a five minute drive into the centre of Bury. The pub is surrounded by local houses and benefits from local support within the community. Bury is a town situated six miles from Bolton and six miles from Rochdale. It is within easy access of all major motorways and has a population of approximately 60,000. In 2014, the Royal underwent a refurbishment including external signage and lighting, internal decoration and upgrading the ladies toilets.

The Royal Hotel trades as a community local pub offering entertainment including live acts, live sports and team games. The pub has two pool teams, a male and female darts team and offers dominoes on a Thursday evening. Admiral Taverns are looking for a couple or individual to develop and grow the business and focus on developing the food offer such as Sunday lunches. Trade accommodation

The outlet trades from one central bar serving a lounge area and bar area. On entering the pub, to the left is a lounge with fixed seating for up to 20 people and a darts area which has the benefit of a log burner which enhances the warm cosy feel of the pub. The bar servery is centrally located and serves the lounge and sports area, which houses the pool table, to the left side of the pub. The toilets are located to the back of the pub and there is a small catering kitchen located behind the bar with limited equipment. Outside, there is a small car park for up to five cars to the right side of the pub and a small seating area and smoking solution to the rear of the pub.
