Trading style

The Queens Arms is a traditional pub and has previously been at the heart of its community. Admiral Taverns are looking for applicants who are familiar with the area and who have some fantastic ideas to bring this pub back to its glory. They will need to introduce sports teams such as darts and football, and look to create an excellent entertainment programme such as weekly quiz nights, live music and karaoke. Previously the pub has offered live sports including sky and BT sport, so this will also need to be on offer to enable the pub to cater to the avid sports fans. Although food has not been served for some time, there is an opportunity to introduce food with a basic food menu and the support of Admiral Taverns catering team. Admiral Taverns offer a range of support under the 'Business Support Agreement' which is particularly advantageous for those who are new to the industry. This agreement will run for a set period of eight months, providing the licensee with bespoke training programmes, access to business insights from a range of industry experts, and an unrivalled portfolio of products and equipment.

Trade accommodation

The outlet is open plan and trades from an L shaped bar servery that you are faced with on entering. There are two snugs, one to the left and one to the right with the darts okke located to the right. The gents toilets are located to the left of the bar servery and the ladies to the right. The lounge runs alongside the bar servery to the right and can cater for up to 40 covers. The fully equipped catering kitchen is located to the rear and the fantastic beer patio is also located to the rear. This area is a sun trap in the summer months and benefits from having three large benches. There is also smoking shelter. The pub is tired however this could easily be rectified with the support of Admiral Taverns and has the potential to be a fantastic locals pub. Although there is no car park, there is plenty of street parking close by.

The private accommodation is located on the first floor and consists of three bedrooms, lounge, kitchen and bathroom all in reasonable order however the new licensee will want to put their own stamp on the pub to make the accommodation feel like ‘home’
