Trading style

The Nags Head has been known as a destination food pub offering quality food and cask ales and famous for its Sunday carvery which could be developed and extended through the week. There is also an opportunity to introduce local teams and groups during midweek, as well as scope to introduce quiz nights to entice locals. There is a substantial car park to the right of the pub which apart from car parking could be used for stalls and car boot sales etc. There is also an opportunity to utilise the outside area for summer fairs, fetes, small music and real ale festivals. Admiral Taverns are looking for an experienced operator with a strong catering background and sound business acumen. They will need to demonstrate good communication skills with staff and customers, offer exceptional retail standards and have the enthusiasm, drive and determination to be able to utilise the great potential that this pub has to offer.

Trade accommodation

The pub consists of two trading areas, each with its own bar servery. The area to the left of the pub is used as a dining area and houses a full carvery unit with the capacity for 70 covers. This area also has an open fire. There are patio doors that lead onto a paved seating area which will add additional covers during the summer months and also has the potential to offer BBQs and hog roasts etc. The right hand side of the pub is used as a bar area by the locals and has a pool table, a separate entrance and also has a rear outside drinking / smoking area. The pub benefits from a large car park that can accommodate up to 30 cars. The catering kitchen is located to the rear of the dining area behind the carvery unit and is large and spacious with adequate storage and also has walk in fridge.
