The Kings Arms is a traditional looking pub situated in the West Yorkshire city of Bradford, approximately one and a half miles southwest of the city in the suburb of Great Horton. Located on one of the main roads into Bradford, the pub is slightly set back off the road. There are a variety of amenities such as shops, supermarkets, takeaways, petrol station and book makers all on the pubs doorstep.

Trading style

The Kings Arms trades very much as a traditional, wet led pub and serves the community of Great Horton. Key here is to continue engaging the locals and develop community relationships. The pub already has a good mid-week trade with pub teams that include darts, pool and dominoes. It also has a thriving entertainment program with live bands and music appearing most weekends. There is no food offer in place currently and this is where the opportunity presents itself as there is an underutilised catering kitchen onsite. Admiral Taverns are not necessary looking for an experienced operator, as our Business Support Agreement will help in the early stages of the tenancy, but looking more for enthusiasm and a willingness to immerse themselves within the community. The food side of the business certainly needs to be developed so some catering experience would be beneficial.

Trade accommodation

The Kings Arms is open plan in layout and benefits from having a well-appointed centralised bar. To one side of the servery is a games area with pool table and darts board and to the adjacent side is the lounge with a mixture of fixed and loose seating. There is a small equipped catering kitchen located to the left of the servery and the toilets are located at the rear of the pub. A large patio garden and purpose built smoking solution sits at the back of the pub and the pub has a small car park with three spaces. The pub and its fixtures and fittings are all in good order.
