The Hare and Hounds is a large detached building located on the main High Street through Connahs Quay. It is surrounded by plenty of local shops and amenities and is also located a ten minute walk from the busy Dock Road where you will find plenty of local businesses. Deeside College is located approximately one mile from the pub. Connahs Quay is a community and the largest town in Flintshire, lying within the Deeside conurbation along the River Dee, near the border with England. It is located six miles west of Chester and can be reached by road from the A548, by rail from the nearby Shotton railway station. It is also lies just south of Deeside Industrial Park, one of the largest such complexes in the region. The area of Connahs Quay has a population of approximately 25,000.

Trading style

The Hare and Hounds is a community pub located in the heart of Connahs Quay. The pub is very popular with the locals and benefits from day time trade through to the evenings. There is a pool team and a ladies darts teams. Entertainment is limited however there is excellent potential to develop this further by introducing karaoke and discos at weekends. Admiral Taverns are looking for an experienced operator to run this challenging community pub. They will need passion and drive and be looking to become part of the local community. Knowledge of the area is a must due to the local trade.

Trade accommodation

The pub is split into two rooms with the bar located to the left and a lounge to the right. Each of these trading areas are split by a central bar servery. The bar is the main drinking area and is popular with the locals. It is home to the darts area and pool table. Located to the rear of this is a door leading onto a covered smoking solution with seating. The gents toilets are also located in this area. The lounge is not used as often as it could be and could easily cater for functions and parties. The ladies toilets are also located in this area. There is no catering kitchen however there is potential to offer a small back bar food offer. To the front of the pub is a small car park for up to five cars.
