The Gamull is a large pub situated on the busy Longridge Road, just two miles from Preston City Centre. It is located in a densely populated area and surrounded by shops and other businesses. The pub is within easy access of the M6 motorway and benefits from being located on a main bus route. We believe this pub should be a fantastic community local and with the right licensee in situ we want to invest in the site - These works will include new signage, interior and exterior redecoration.

Trading style

The Gamull trades well thanks to a loyal customer base. It’s very sport driven and there is lots of potential to introduce pool and darts teams which have both been popular in the past. There is also scope to develop the business further by catering to the wider community by offering weekly quiz nights and weekend entertainment. Food has previously been offered however the new licensee will need to re-launch this with the support of an Admiral Taverns Catering Executive, offering a value for money food offer will further increase turnover. We are looking for applicants who are familiar with the area and have the drive and passion to develop this strong community pub.

Trade accommodation

The pub has three entrances. The main entrance is directly off the main road into the lounge. On entering through this area, the bar servery is directly ahead, located centrally in the middle of the pub. There are two areas designed to house pool tables and darts okkes and also a raised area that can be used for weekend entertainment. The catering kitchen, which is partially equipped, is located to the left hand side of the pub next to the ground floor cellar. The ladies and gents toilets are located to the right side of the pub. Externally, there is a car park for up to eight cars however this is a shared car park. There is also a reasonable sized patio area with benches and this area could be developed further. The pub requires some TLC and for the licensee to put their own stamp on the premises.

The private accommodation is located on the first floor and consists of three bedrooms, lounge, kitchen, office and bathroom with toilet, all of which are in reasonable order.
