The County is prominently positioned on the main road through Willenhall. It is a corner site and located next to a large car-park which is free to shoppers during the day, and doubles as an overnight lorry park of an evening. The County is a good sized pub comprising of two distinct trading areas. The lounge is a traditional olde worlde styled room which has beams and lots of character and has circa 50 covers.

Trading style

The County has a very mixed client base. During the day the lounge is used by shoppers and shift-workers who pop in for a quick drink and a meal. Of an evening the pub is frequented by both young and old alike, with the lounge being used by the older generations and the bar being used by the younger generation who enjoy darts and pool and indeed live entertainment. The current operator doesn’t show Sky Sports but in the past the pub has traded very well off a sports crowd by using Sky TV and BT Sport. During the day the lounge is used by the older drinking crowd and is used by dinners.

Trade accommodation

The pub comprises two trading areas which are linked by a horseshoe bar behind which the catering kitchen is located. The lounge has circa 50 covers of which a large proportion is provided via fixed seating with goes around the room. The large bar in the lounge also provides plenty of “leaning” space for customers wishing the prop up the bar. The bar has a small amount of fixed seating and is much more flexible in terms of F&F allowing the operator to house a pool table and darts hockey, but also convert the room into a live music area where more floor space is required. The kitchen is compact but well equipped. 3-phase electricity is already in situ and the equipment on site will allow and operator to offer a good menu. Note Gas is not available for cooking.
